Your provider has chosen Favored Medical Billing as their outside billing agency.

Favored Medical Billing will be responsible for:

Benefit Verification

  • A benefit breakdown with cost will be provided to both you and your provider.

  • Authorization Request/In-network Exception Request
  • If your provider agrees to accept in-network payment from your insurance payer a GAP request will be requested at the time of benefit verification

  • Claims Submission
  • Upon delivery, a global maternity and newborn care claim for the provider/midwife and birth center (if applicable) will be submitted to your insurance for processing.

  • If there is a transfer of care, that prohibits global maternity billing, a claim for the provider/midwife and birth center (if applicable) will be submitted to your insurance for processing for services rendered to mother and/or infant.

  • Patient Financial Collections
  • Based on your benefit breakdown, and provider/facility financial policy Favored Medical Billing is responsible for collecting BOTH upfront costs as well as any balances left unpaid after insurance has processed ALL claims.

  • Refunds
  • Favored Medical Billing does NOT have the authority to issue refund payments. FMBS IS responsible for collecting the proper documentation, patient payment record, insurance payment record and your benefit verification so your provider can refund any monies that may be due.
